Welcome to the Egüés Valley website

As Mayor of the Egües Valley, I have much satisfaction in opening this new communications link with you, the inhabitants as well as all visitors to the valley. If you are seeking useful, up-to-date information about out towns and villages, customs or even our industries, you can be sure to find it here. If you want to find out about what the Council's plans are with regard to a particular matter you are concerned about, come in, look around and ask questions. And, above all, send us your suggestions, the matters you are really concerned about. This is the only way to make this web site a lively and active place.

Our home, the Egüés Valley, continues to grow and develop, as has always been the case since it was first named in historical texts back in 1032. In just a few years the valley has seen how its towns and villages have expanded and how more and more people have come to live in the Valley - there are now over 2,600 of us. Moreover, the future prospects predict that we shall maintain this solid and sustained population growth to become the great community that the Egüés Valley is destined to be. With this young and dynamic spirit, we have now become part of the global community of Internet. My desire is that we make good use of this tool that technology has offered us to create new opportunities for developing the Valley and also so that you, the inhabitants, may find an open door in your own homes to all the services the Council offers you.

We want this Web site to be useful to you, both for enquiries regarding administrative matters, as well as for keeping up-to-date with regard to what is happening in the Valley and how to participate in it. As far as possible, we will gradually include in the Web site spaces in which, as well as getting information, you can also carry out all kinds of Council-related business from your own homes. Depending on current circumstances, you will be able to find dates, deadlines and the necessary requirements to access the various municipal services.

Finally, as Mayor of the Egüés Valley, I would simply like to encourage you all, both the inhabitants of the valley as well as the users of Internet, to enjoy the friendly nature of the people here, and the well conserved surroundings we are lucky enough to live in. We must have the desire to open up to a future that is full of opportunities for our Valley. A valley which, over the next few decades, is destined to be a privileged area with regard to services, leisure and residential use. This is what makes us responsible for working towards that goal. If we all work together, we can achieve greater things. Welcome:

José A. Andía
Mayor of the Egüés Valley
